Terms of Service
Effective date: August 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AquaCert website and online continuing-education courses, operated by AquaCert LLC (“AquaCert,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
AquaCert is intended for working professionals (18 or older). You agree to provide accurate information, including the full legal name that will appear on your certificate, and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
2. Courses, pricing & payment
Courses are sold as one-time purchases at the prices shown at checkout, in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details. We may update course content and pricing over time, but changes do not affect a course you have already purchased.
3. Continuing-education credit
AquaCert courses are offered for continuing-education (CEU) credit only where we hold the applicable state approval, and credit is awarded according to that approval. You are responsible for confirming that a course meets your license requirements and for reporting your credit to the appropriate licensing board. We issue a certificate upon successful completion, but we do not guarantee that any board will accept it if you use it contrary to its terms or your state’s rules.
4. Completion & certificates
To earn a certificate you must meet the course completion requirements, which may include watching the course in full and passing a graded quiz where required. Certificates are issued to the legal name on your profile and carry a unique verification code that anyone may use to confirm authenticity. Do not misrepresent your identity or your completion of a course.
5. License to use course content
Upon purchase we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the course for your own professional development. You may not share your account, record, download, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the course content. All content, branding, and materials are owned by AquaCert LLC or its licensors and are protected by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service โ including attempting to bypass completion or assessment requirements, sharing answers or accounts, scraping or copying content, or interfering with the platform’s operation or security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Refunds
Purchases are subject to our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service and course content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AquaCert LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service or a course will not exceed the amount you paid for that course.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
